Opheliar Chan

I lead Accenture's application security practice in Canada. I currently focus on software security, SDLC and DevSecOps process consulting and implementations, security program consulting, penetration testing/vulnerability management, and related. I have previous experience in building professional services teams, security research, software development, and technical writing. I am looking for ways to combine my experience, interests, and skills to help others implement security practices pragmatically. I co-lead the OWASP Toronto Chapter, am a SecTor Advisor Committee Member, and an active volunteer for organisations such as HackStudent where I hope to make software security more accessible, understandable, and FUD-free. I believe in the value of diversity, inclusion, freedom of speech (but not freedom from consequences), and the "no a**hole rule".
