Orkun Ozocak

As a bilingual qualified professional in both Britain and Turkey, Orkun can provide counselling support for stress, self-esteem, anxiety and anger-management issues, relationship difficulties (including break-ups and infidelity), and cross-cultural communication and adaptation problems. He is based in Istanbul from where he can provide online distant support to those living abroad and companies. Orkun received his degree in Psychology & Philosophy from Keele University (UK) in 2010. He specialised in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and worked at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire. To his further his career development, he moved to Australia and completed a masters degree at Deakin University and became elected as a member of the Australian Psychological Society. After his return to Turkey, he worked as a psychologist at a hospital, a foundation for children with leukaemia and led a local government counselling project supporting school children and their families. He also taught psychology at one of Turkey’s leading universities while delivering, and undertaking further training in, family and marriage therapy. He currently manages the employee-engagement and wellness programmes of several major companies and offers psychological counseling and seminars on mindfulness, relationship management, stress, motivation and communication in universities, public spaces and government institutions. Orkun also works with private individuals, couples and families using an holistic approach combining cognitive and behavioural therapy in order to achieve the creation of a balanced life, well-being and sustainable mental health.
