I am a self-taught software and digital product person who mains PHP, while slowly learning Rust and Kotlin. I also know browser stuff like HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript (ES5 mainly, with additional random things from ES6 and later). I like process and tooling automation. Linux servers are no strangers to me either. In addition to "just programming" things, I'm versed in agile thinking and am continuously learning more about product management and leadership skills. Extra skills include writing and light UX/UI work. I am always looking for ways to become a better systems thinker and people-person, in addition to keeping my technical skills sharp. People and interactions come first, software and tech are just a detail. I deem the team a fundamental unit in software and product work, and optimizing research and development work as a well-oiled team rather than maximizing output or utilization for a group of individuals is what I aim to enable in organizations I work in. I am open to neat offers regarding places where most if not all of the following are true: - Not a 100% remote working position - The organization is stable, and understands how people with kids operate - I would work primarily with either PHP, Kotlin (not Android), Rust, or Java (though PHP is what I excel at and I'd probably require some extra time to learning if the stack contains Kotlin, Rust, and/or Java) - The team I would work with is an autonomous product team (team skills contain programming, UX/UI, ops/infra, QA, business domain knowledge, etc.) who prefers colocated working - The organization does not revolve around a 12-month roadmap or budget, and the word "project" is a rare occasion in your terminology - You're looking for an experienced person who knows about more than just "writing code", e.g. Agility, product development, quality thinking, IT infra, ... Not open to offers that include cryptocurrencies, blockchains, fossil fuel, capital shuffling, gambling, or anything which directly or indirectly relates to enabling these. I prefer jobs where I can make the world a better place for actual humans, not just for companies and capital. A generic list of some things I approve of, in case you're interested or if you use a search engine to lazily look for things like these: continuous integration, continuous delivery, trunk-based development, continuous collaboration, test-driven development, extreme programming, mob programming, pair programming, progressive enhancement, worse is better. I also play PC games and produce various kinds of electronic music.
