Owen Long

My name is Owen Long, and I am the former President and CEO of Sertified., LLC., an American Red Cross Licensed Training Provider, that “pops up” in communities in the tri-state area, of Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, to provide high-quality and efficient American Red Cross Training Services first-responder and instructor-level certification courses, both on-land and in the water. Recently, I have accepted a position as the Director of First Responder and Aquatic Training Sales for the Southeast United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In this role, I am responsible for managing a team of aquatic and first responder training specialists and account executives, with the goal of maintaining current client relationships and advancing the presence of American Red Cross training in the fields of aquatics and in Police, Fire and EMS agencies. I am incredibly passionate about American Red Cross Training, and truly believe in its quality and ability to prepare aquatic professionals, first responders, and lay persons to respond during the #momentsthatmatter. My goal is simple; get more people certified in American Red Cross training all across the region of which I have the pleasure of serving! When I am not working, you will find me playing with my dog, Lola, riding an ambulance as a volunteer EMT, or hanging out on the water! I love to swim, paddle board, jet ski, boat, etc. You name the activity on the water, and I can assure you that I love it! Friends and family are a huge part of my life. My professional career would never be able to advance, if it wasn't for the support from my personal life! I have been working in the realm of American Red Cross Training Services since 2015 and continue to strive for excellence in the field. Since being involved in training, I have become a certified Instructor Trainer for Lifeguarding, CPR/First Aid/AED, Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Emergency Medical Response, and First Aid for Severe Trauma! I plan to continue to maintain each and every one of these certifications -- allowing for a continued and comprehensive understanding of the classes that we offer! Long story short, if you want to talk training, boating, EMSing, or dogging, I am your guy!
