Owen is the founder and General Manager of HGC. HGC was formed in 2012 to provide technical expertise with in-depth security risk assessments, and the development, implementation and monitoring of management systems across precious metal mining operations and capital projects in the global resource sector.HGC implements meaningful security measures which are developed and implemented based on the application of sound risk management principals. Security controls must be practical for the security environment and incorporate strategies which support day to day business operations.HGC assists companies with the development of corporate management frameworks in regards to the processing and handling of production assets.Throughout the gold refinement process, identification of areas of exposure to theft and implementation of security controls is critical. This is obtained through an in-depth process of risk analysis and the experience in gold processing.HGC has experience throughout the globe working from pre-feasibility to closure projects to achieve a quality outcome for all stakeholders.HGC has collaborated on prominent operations throughout Australasia, South America, North America, Africa and Alaska for major resourcing corporations including Barrick Gold, Newcrest Mining, Newmont Mining, Nova Gold, Millennium Mining, Rio Tinto and Placer Dome, and engineering companies including AMEC and Fluor.
