Paige Thomas

I am a full time student at Longwood University seeking my B.S. in computer science. I previously worked full time while obtaining an Associates in General Studies and a Certificate in General Education. I am now seeking to complete my degree and become a Project Manager or Systems Analyst. My short term goals include working to obtain experience in a broad field of subjects relative to business for application to future jobs. I want to be able to exit college with the ability to do more than what my degree says I have learned. My ideal career position would allow me to assist companies in securing their networks and data by bridging the gap between IT, Info Sec, and non-technical divisions. During my studies I found there to be a missing link between individual who "speak geek" and the average employee. As a Cyber Security student I learned your system is only as secure as your weakest link. Being able to translate information across departments and bring important knowledge from both sides, in a manner all parties can understand, appears to be a much needed patch in the system.
