About
I am a professional educator with a passion for transitions. My high school students are mainly seniors who are getting ready to take on college, the military, or the world of work. My role in helping them prepare for their next big adventure is incredibly fulfilling. I am also an adjunct professor for the School of Communications at Kent State University. Helping students in Introduction to Human Communication learn public speaking skills has been an interesting way for me to spend some of my afternoons and Saturday mornings. Recently, I began teaching Senior Seminar for Communications Majors, and my love of transitions has expanded to the college level. As these college students prepare to graduate, I have the responsibility and honor of helping to prepare them for the professional settings they are about to enter. I find it fascinating that I learn as much or more about myself from working with young people than I could ever teach them.
