Pascal André Jequier

Pascal Jequier Chief Operating Officer (GMT) Holds a Master in Chemistry from the Université de Neuchâtel and has been active in the pharmaceutical industry since 1991. After a short period at Bachem Feinchemicakalien as a Junior Scientist in the Peptide synthesis development in Bubendorf / Switzerland, he moved to Sapec SA in 1991 as R&D Scientist in the field of reduced folate in Lugano / Switzerland. In 1997, he moved to Bioren SA, company active in the production of large volume infusion and of aseptically filled vials for injection. He took there the position of QC Responsible. During the same period he worked as a consultant for GMT fine chemicals, during the company startup, mainly on API process development. In 2000 Pascal joined GMT fulltime. There he held successively the following positions: R&D Responsible, QC Responsible, Production Responsible, QA/QC Responsible. In 2008 he was promoted as COO and Qualified Person. The same year, he was integrated into GMT steering committee with signature right shared with the CEO. In 2011, as Cerbios became the main shareholder of GMT, Pascal remained in post and closely worked with Cerbios Management to consolidate GMT structure and quality system. Thanks to this collaboration work, GMT was granted in 2016 with a FDA certification. In 2018, Pascal joined Cerbios Chiefs group, which directly report to Cerbios CEO with the scope to further integrate GMT inside Cerbios group. Since 2019 the position of Qualified Person in GMT has been taken over from the QA manager. He is author of several patents, granted and still active in almost all highly regulated countries, in the field of Organic Chemistry, mainly in the reduced folate field.
