Since its inception in 1989, iBET has partnered with many international companies in scientifically based research projects. As iBET' scientific and technical competences grew in excellence and trust, some biopharma companies became valuable partners leading to the creation of a new concept, the Satellite laboratories.Sanofi Satellite lab, started in august 2018, comprises a team of iBET´ scientists dedicated to research within the network of the company. The Lab Head is the gatekeeper and the one responsible for the direct communication between both entities. Currently Sanofi Satellite Lab is carrying out activities in discovery/preclinical development for Sanofi's pipeline.Past Experience:As senior Scientist at the Animal Cell Technology Unit@iBET, Patrícia Gomes-Alves was responsible for the development and implementation of proteomics and mass spectrometry (MS) based workflows to complement characterization of bioprocesses and resulting cell products, aiming at supporting the development of novel cell/protein-based therapies.As iBET’ Scientific Coordinator of the Mass Spectrometry Unit of iBET/ITQB (UniMS) she was responsible for the redesign of the operational model and management of the facility (equipment acquisition, personnel recruitment and supervision of methodology development/implementation).
