Sinds 2012 werk ik als muziektherapeut. Eerder werkte ik met veel liefde voor Stichting Papageno- waar ik ambulante muziektherapie gaf aan kinderen met ASS. In de corona-tijd heb ik mijn hart verpand aan een nieuwe doelgroep- bewoners op de psychogeriatrische afdeling van een verpleeghuis in Hilversum, Inovum. Aansluiten en verbinden is voor mij de basis in mijn werk. Muziek biedt een prachtige brug en is tevens een achterdeurtje in het hoofd, waardoor verbinding leggen vaak verassend goed lukt. Wanneer de brug geslagen is, ga ik samen met de bewoner op onderzoek naar wat er gemist, gevoeld en nog ontwikkeld wil worden. Een klein avontuur wat mijn werkdagen zoveel zin geeft. Als muziektherapeut ben ik geregistreerd bij de vakverenigingen; FVB en NVVMT.
