Patrick Fritz, PhD

Specialist knowledge in project management life cycle - designing and conducting robust research, understanding and manipulating data, and conveying the core findings to diverse audiences, including academic journals. I have relevant consulting experience through involvement in data related tasks, including planning, collection, preparation, analysis and interpretation, and presentation of data. To this effect I have used (and hold key certificates) in Power BI (including Power Query), SQL, Python and Microsoft Excel Macros, with exposure to Azure Databricks and R script. Highly experienced in the tertiary education sector through teaching undergraduate classes in a variety of disciplines. With a PhD in Forensic and Analytical Chemistry, my core focus is on tertiary science education. Having taught Chemistry since 2010, I have also lectured in Research Methods, Introductory Statistics and Engineering Science. I hold a holistic view of the tertiary education sector, with my teaching practice being augmented by having experience as the Diploma Program Manager and Learning Technologies Manager. This trifecta has given me keen insights in developing new supporting infrastructure and pedagogical approaches throughout the transition to online learning, and managing the Diploma of Science and Diploma of Commerce students and lecturers to the expected standard within the accredited framework.
