About
A natural-born "people person," I excel when I am engaging with customers and/or team members to create the best brand-engagement experience possible. While I am gifted in (and enjoy!) data reporting and analysis, such as P&L statements and sales figures, I am truly at my best when not behind the desk. Interaction with others and experiencing real life revenue-generating transactions "in the trenches" is important to me; this might mean rolling up my sleeves to load a truck, make a delivery, or help a customer and/or team member in need. If there's a problem, I have no interest in pointing fingers. Instead, I acknowledge areas to improve, look for root causes of known problems, and seek solutions. I am proud of my management accomplishments at Sweetbay where, after 12 months of employ, I was selected to become the opening Store Manager of a brand new location in Estero in 2008. Shortly thereafter, I was voted by district management as a finalist for Store Manager of the Year. Under my management, the Estero Sweetbay store received the highest-possible customer satisfaction rating out of all Delhaize stores including every Sweetbay, Hannaford, and Food Lion location. Ethical business practices are central to my character, which is the reason for my interest in loss prevention. At Captain Jerry's, when reviewing P&L reports, I observed elevated product shrink in the frozen category which prompted me to review facility procedures closely. My investigation uncovered an internal theft pattern which I addressed hands-on with the offenders and subsequently installed security measures, saving the company over $25,000 in previously-lost revenue. Studied and motivated by Ken Blanchard's writing, I am committed to providing "legendary service" both internally to fellow employees, and externally to customers, for the common goal of business growth.
