Patrick Smith

I am a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio, licensed by the State Board of Nursing. I currently work as the Manager of the Transitional Care Team with Molina Healthcare, and have experience in the Cardiovascular Lab (Heart Cath, Peripheral Intervention, Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology, Stress Lab, and Cardiac Imaging), Population Health Management, Vascular and Thoracic Surgery, and the Coronary Care Unit/Intensive Care Unit. My clinical experiences to this point have had a focus on cardiac care, which included a rotation in a Congestive Heart Failure Clinic and the busiest per capita Emergency Department in Ohio. My underlying desire lies with cardiac care, but I overwhelming feel that preventative medicine is key to dealing with the growing age and presence of chronic illness in our country. I am currently in graduate school working toward a Master of Science in Nursing degree as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. I feel that in a CNS role I can greatly impact the health of my patients through both their education, and training of staff.
