I just accepted the position of Deputy Assistant Director of Facilities but for the past 3 and half years I have been working in the capacity of a Facility Manager for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Boston, Massachusetts. I am in charge of all 67 ports of entry to include Airports, Seaports, and Land Borders within the 6 New England States and any construction or redesign that is associated with each port. I develop scopes of work for small to large scale capital projects and ensure that all of CBP's technical standards an operational needs are incorporated. I work in conjunction with the General Services Administration (GSA) to coordinate project requests with various stake holders from the private, state, and federal sector and work closely with the project manager to ensure CBP's project requirements are implemented throughout the various stages of the project.
