I am an experienced industrial chemist who has worked at Clorox (cleaning products) and Hewlett-Packard (inkjet inks, aqueous and non-aqueous), adhesives, polymers, and surface modification of MEMS devices). I am passionate about accurate measurement of data and using the right tools for the information needed. I have run across many tools that are nothing more than random number generators and am always looking for the ones that are worth every penny. Technical problems require good data to solve them. I have experience with rheometers, viscometers, thermal characterization (DMA, TA, DSC ), surface tension, FTIR, other lab equipment, and now low field NMR for nanoparticle dispersions. Most of all, I find most satisfying collaborating with people on their problems and projects to achieve success, whether it's a dispersion formulation, stability issues, quality control, rheological problems, and other issues dealing with nanoparticles and surface properties.
