I have worked in the water industry for 30 years mainly as Project/Operations Manager responsible for planning and managing repair and maintenance work in the potable water distribution sector.Previously employed in the specialized knowledge position of International Ice Pigging Operations Manager for Aqualogy Environment in Bristol UK, a sister company of Utility Service Co, Inc. (both of which are wholly owned by Suez), I now manage and supervise all ice pigging operations nationwide in North America. As such, I have been responsible for the development and execution of all ice pigging projects, which involved locating suitable sites for ice production, planning and scheduling, overseeing plant setup, and managing the ice pigging teams on site. I have traveled to many countries to manage ice pigging projects, including in Holland, Germany, France and Australia, Canada and the US. I managed a team of nine Ice Pigging Operators and ensured that the projects satisfied internal and external reporting requirements. I was able to utilize my specialized knowledge of the unique technology and my technical expertise in deploying the technology to interface with our users and assist the end customer. I also provided technical assistance, trouble-shooting, as well as operational expertise. I was responsible for project management of the sale, operation, and maintenance of ice pigging equipment. Again, I utilized that specialized knowledge of ice pigging to advise and supervise technicians in the use of the ice pigging equipment. My management of ice pigging operations around the world and now in the US, make me the world’s most experienced person in ice pigging management.Before the water industry, I served in the Royal Marines for 10½ years and was awarded the South Atlantic Medal after active service in the Falkland Islands conflict. I am from Bristol, UK and now live with my wife in Florida.
