I have extensive product leadership experience across a diverse range of industries and platforms, including Nintendo, Disney, Rosetta Stone and Cerner, with the proven ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines with internal and external development partners around the world.Today, user experience isn’t a nicety, it’s a necessity:• There are nearly 400 million active websites • The Google Play Store has nearly 3 million apps• On average, 1 in 4 applications are opened just once and then discarded by the user.With this huge amount of choice, the need to focus on creating engaging, memorable experiences that are focused on the end user has never been more important to organizations.I have spent over 25 years in design and product management, with notable credits include co-designing Donkey Kong Country 3 at Rare/Nintendo, producing the first ever Sega game to appear on non-Sega hardware with Crazy Taxi and directing the highly acclaimed video game, Disney Epic Mickey. I've also led the redesign of Rosetta Stone’s flagship language learning mobile app, a virtual reality medical study on pain management and the creation of an aircraft training simulation for the U.S. Navy. At Cerner, I grew the influence and size of the UX team, taking the team from 50 to over 150 dedicated Associates, fully integrating user-centered design into the Product Management process as well as championing a single set of design standards into the go-forward platform for the company.In addition to spending time with my wife and two children, I love Photography and used this passion to help fund an initiative in Rwanda, building a full-size basketball court for a school there, which I also project managed remotely to completion.
