Pedro Lutz Ramos

Pedro Lutz Ramos holds Ph.D. In Economics from PPGE/UFRGS and he is a Treasury Superintendent at Sicredi. At university, he specialized in macroeconomic modeling and monetary policy, with an emphasis on structural (DSGE), semi-structural, BVAR, VAR, and Unobserved Components Models (Kalman Filter). He has more than 10 years of experience with macroeconomic scenario forecasting. Since 2011, he is contributing to place The Economic Analysis Department of Bank Sicredi among the most accurate economic projections in Brazil, according to high-standard rankings such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Brazilian Central Bank, and Grupo Estado de São Paulo. Over 30 annual awards from BCB and Agência Estado were granted in this period. In the last couple of years, he got experience in a Corporate Finance Manager position within Treasury Superintendence. Inside Sicredi, Pedro is leading research on “Positive Economic Effects of Credit Unions” which has been showing the great impact on Brazilian society with academic methods. In 2022, he became in charge of Treasury Superintendent. Pedro also has experience in teaching Econometrics in MBA programs and has published papers in international economic journals and conferences.
