Peng Cheng

Dr Peng Cheng is an Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Research Fellow (ARC DECRA Fellow, 2020-2022), Senior Lecturer (Tenured Associate Professor in U.S. Systems) and PhD advisor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, La Trobe University, VIC, Australia. He is currently a core member of US Cisco-LTU Research Centre for AI and Internet of Things. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the School of Electrical and Information Engineering at the University of Sydney, NSW, Australia. Prior to joining La Trobe University in 2020, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at CSIRO between 2014 and 2017. From 2017 to 2020, he was a Research Fellow/ARC DECRA Fellow/Lecturer at the University of Sydney, Australia. Peng obtained his Ph.D. In Telecommunications from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Peng’s main research interests include IoT, machine learning (deep learning, Bayesian learning, reinforcement learning, imitation learning, transfer learning, etc.), wireless communications, and signal processing.
