About
An Academy Award winning California based British UX engineer, software developer and software architect working for MAXON GmbH as well as an artist, designer and tutor for Cinema 4D & Bodypaint 3D. The original lead co-developer and designer of Cinema 4D's award winning MoGraph module with Paul Everett and continued lead and designer of C4Ds motion graphics workflow as well as many of the other workflows and tools in all areas within Cinema 4D. An innovator within the CG field, originating many concepts, algorithms and very first implementations including those for corrected 360 stereo anaglyph rendering, cubemapped lens projection for realtime 360 lens projection, surface curvature maintenance during cuts, fully automated Linear Color Workflow and the many workflow innovations of Cinema's aforementioned Motion Graphics toolset. I am a permanent resident of California. My background is in Fine Art, Corporate Events production, Web Development and graphic design. Growing up with artist parents who along rich and colorful careers among other things illustrated many Graham Greene original covers and the latter of the original run of Thomas The Tank Engine books for Rev. Awdry, worked on many high profile exhibitions both fine art and designing commercial exhibits gave me many opportunities to explore and experience the artist and freelancers life and those oh so important requirements for flexibility, hard work and out of the box thinking and an insatiable appetite to learn new skills which have served me well in my own career both as a freelancer and full time employee. Exploration is key to a rich life and being an effective asset for my clients and customers. I love new challenges and new disciplines. Whether working on film pipeline tools, game engines, blue chip corporate brand work, database development, making motion graphics animations for projection on buildings, developing plugin tools for The Third Party or my own personal experiments.
