Peter Craig

I have over 40 years experience in the sports turf management industry at all levels from a one man one mower groundsman, to my current position as Grounds and Gardens Manager at The Lensbury in Teddington a position I previously held from 1990 to 1998 Before this I was Grounds Manager at The Hurlingham Club for 18 years managing a 27 strong team of highly skilled and highly motivated groundsmen during which I gained international recognition for the improvements to the 42 acres of sports turf and gardens at the club. Since my return to Lensbury I have overseen a significant mark up in the quality and appearance of the whole site. For the first time in Lensbury’s 100+ years history, elite football has been staged involving premiership football clubs, involvement in the 2020 mens European Championships and being chosen as the training camp for the England Lionesses assault on the Women’s European Championships. I find it difficult to imagine a more stimulating and satisfying occupation that rewards me both professionally if not financially, but I'm still highly ambitious so I'm always open to new challenges.
