I am a jack-of-all-trades. Former neuroepigeneticist, current quality manager for a world-class craft brewery and avid woodworker. I teach Barrel Aging at UCSD and Intro to Laser at the San Diego Fine Woodworker’s member shop. My experience is varied, but all of it boils down to the following: - I like finding ways to work inside the box. Isn't that often more challenging? I work with the tools I am given to produce what is needed. - If I do not know something, I will tell you upfront and I will learn it quickly and in depth. This is how I have gone from blacksmithing to DNA sequencing to neuroepigenetics to brewing microbiology. - I add DIY creativity to everything I do from homebrewing to woodworking to whatever task I have in front of me at work.
