Peter Dawson

After graduating from Royal Air Force Halton training school I spent the next 24 years in the RAF. I was fortunate enough to travel a lot and gained experience at all levels of aircraft maintenance, from 1st line to 4th line deep repairs. I was also promoted to the rank of Sargeant. After taking redundancy I ran my own franchise for 2 years. I then took a job at the local RAF station as a driver and shift controller. From there I went back into aircraft servicing as an aircraft electrician and supervisor. Then it was out to Saudi for a short while after which I became a contractor travelling Europe until My wife and I emigrated to Canada. After three years we returned to the UK and I contracted in the aircraft world for a number of years. After a couple of years Panel wiring for various companies, including Seimens, I am now in Sweden with Patria helicopters performing major refits which include an almost total rewire.
