Peter McHugh

Peter is a Solicitor and Partner with Clarke Willmott at the Birmingham office. He is also a Chartered Arbitrator as well as an Accredited Mediator with over 20 years experiance of dispute resolution within the Construction and Commercial property field. He is regularly instructed as a Mediator in a variety of disputes. He has conducted well over a 100 mediations as mediator and has a very high success rate. These mediations range from Construction, Civil Engineering, Property and Commercial disputes Involving high level negotiations with Chief Executives and top management. Peter has represented parties in Court and Arbitration hearings for a range of organisations from PLC to medium sized enterprises. He regularly deals with Adjudications on behalf of Claimants and Defendants. He has extensive knowledge in dealing with cases involving Contractual matters in Construction disputes between Employers as well as Main and Sub Contractors. Peter frequently becomes involved in Professional Negligence claims within the Construction industry. He is Joint Chair of Boardroom Knowledge a specialist group involved in connecting Investors to property deals and is also President of the Federation of Master Builders for Birmingham and former Chair of the Forum for the Birmingham division of the Built Environment.
