“Technology is the enabler, not the outcome; And when designed with human centricity, can enable transformative outcomes.”I received my Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications Engineering with a second major in Computer Science in 1999. Since then, I have been focused on technology consulting and engineering; receiving my specialty Professional Engineer registration in 2003. I started my career with a Vancouver-based engineering firm in 2000, becoming a Partner and shareholder in 2005. After 15 great years with the firm, I decided to start up a specialized technology consulting firm in 2015 called Aspyr, which was then acquired in 2019 by IBI Group, a global technology-driven design firm head quartered in Toronto CAN. Now with Arcadis and 20+ years of industry experience, I bring international perspective to my work, with project experiences from Canada, USA, Mexico and UK.As a Director, my role is to lead the practice in the emerging technology consulting & digital transformation, developing innovative strategies to which our technology engineering team can deliver. Technology and digital strategies involve assessing current state, market scans, analysis and trending to the targeted future-state digital transformation.I have delivered technology strategies and digital enablement on several large scale integrated technology projects as the principal strategist, including: a $1.9 Billion digital-first hospital in Vancouver; a $135 Million digitally-enabled courthouse facility in Red Deer; and a 2.2 million SF intelligent research and engineering facility for Ford in Detroit USA.
