I am a successful and influential business leader with a strong track record in delivery across a range of areas. I am a strategic thinker who has taken a leading role in ensuring that both the UK and European cinema sectors are equipped with the commercial and technological skills to prosper in the modern leisure economy, and that relevant regulatory and legislative barriers are addressed. Significant achievements include: Root and branch reform of the UK Cinema Association, establishing the organisation as a credible and authoritative voice for well over 90 per cent of UK cinema operators. Design and delivery of the UK Digital Funding Partnership, ensuring the continued survival in the digital age of over 100 smaller UK cinema sites. Negotiation and delivery of the Meerkat Movies promotion, the biggest ever global cinema ticket promotion, delivering over £250 million of value to the UK cinema sector. Root and branch reform of the International Union of Cinemas (UNIC), the trade grouping for European cinema trade associations and key operators, such that it now provides a credible and authoritative voice across 38 European territories.
