Senior financial services professional with extensive experience in the insurance, asset management and banking industries, with expertise in infrastructure finance, structured finance and corporate finance. Experience as a director (executive and non-executive) and senior executive with responsibilities including oversight of enterprise risk management, portfolio management, business development and strategy. Most recently Risk Advisor at Channel Capital Advisors LLP, a UK based asset manager regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority ("FCA"). Previously, non-Executive Director of FGIC UK Limited ("FGIC UK"), a financial guarantee insurance company regulated by the Prudential Regulation Authority ("PRA") and the FCA. Served as Chair of the Audit Committee (SMF11) and Senior Independent Director (SMF14). Role with FGIC UK ended in 2020 following the successful sale of the company, which has been renamed Financial Guaranty UK Limited. Previous employment was as Co-CEO (SIMF1), Chief Risk Officer (SIMF4), member of the Board and Chair of the Risk Oversight Committee of MBIA UK Insurance Limited ("MBIA UK"), a financial guarantee insurance company regulated by the PRA and FCA. A key achievement at MBIA UK was receiving approval from the PRA to use an internal model to calculate capital adequacy under Solvency II. Role with MBIA UK ended in 2017 following the successful sale of the company. At the time of the sale, MBIA UK had a £10 billion portfolio of financial guarantees, substantially all of which were related to long-dated infrastructure debt. Following the sale, the name of the company changed to Assured Guaranty (London) plc. Prior to working for MBIA and various of its affiliates in London and New York, worked for Bankers Trust Company in New York.
