Nongezile Nyathi, Pr. Eng (MEng)

I am a versatile individual who is a fast learner and not intimidated by challenging or uncommon environment. I enjoy working in multi-disciplinary teams as this gives me the opportunity to learning from others and also to impart my knowledge to others. I have a passion for process design, troubleshooting and problem solving. In unfamiliar work environments I always like to go the extra mile to ensure that I achieve all my goals. I currently work as a Senior Process Engineer for NTP Radioisotopes a leading producer and supplier of quality nuclear medicines and radiation-based products and services. My current role involves a wide spectrum of process engineering design activities as well as coordinating activities during the productions of Molybednum-99. Prior to joining NTP Radioisotopes I worked for Necsa for almost 10 years. Necsa’s core business is research and technology development in the nuclear industry of South Africa. I started off as a Process Engineer and as my responsibilities increased and gained more experience I was promoted to a Senior Process Engineer. I started off my career as a Technical Officer at AEL one of the big producers of nitric acid and ammonium nitrate and other explosives used in the mining industries. I was involved in continuous process improvement projects, troubleshooting as well as process optimization.
