I have about 10 years of professional experience, including 8 years in renewable energy (RE). I am interested in the areas of sustainability and climate change. Inter alia, I have experience in following portfolios gained during the professional & academic stints: A. Research & Development • Study and research on the environmental impact of internet infrastructure at Imperial College London, University of London and Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, Princeton University, USA. • Design and development of solar cells and photovoltaic (PV) modules. • Problem-solving through experimentations, data analysis, studies, root-cause analysis, and design-to-cost. B. Strategy & Policy • Interpret, evaluate & interrelate research data and analyse to incorporate best practices for the business. • Keep a track of changing technologies, scientific developments & benchmarking along with business intelligence. • Keep abreast with the policy landscape, analyse the opportunities & risks. C. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration • Engage and collaborate with government, regulators, media, corporate, industry, educational and research institutes and other grass-root organizations for the implementation of clean environment and sustainability programmes. • Provide effective engineering, technical and policy support. • Representing company on platforms such as paper presentations, initiatives for making renewable energy responsible, fairs, vendor and customer discussions. Management & Leadership • Lead and manage multiple projects focused on new products or enhancement to existing solutions through innovation, benchmarking and technical up-gradations. • Leading projects from their inception to completion. • All round interaction and coordination within the organization. E. Analysis, Reporting & Sector commentary • Preparation of reports based on policy research and analysis. • Preparation & presentation of project reports, monthly and yearly technical analysis. • Preparation of proposals, quality-plans, datasheets and budgets, and evaluation of new vendors. • Writing articles to analyse government policies on renewable energy that got published in Down To Earth magazine and web. F. Quality Control • Monitoring of processes and products, and periodic quality checks. • Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) of Solar cells and PV Modules. G. Knowledge Management • Development of PV e-learning module as a knowledge-sharing platform. • Assist in training and mentoring of apprentice trainees to ensure their proper induction into the company.
