After gaining valuable experience as a process engineer for seven years at Parsons Process Group, I founded TL Precision Welding (TLPW) in 1997 to provide fabrication and repair services for OEMs in high-technology sectors in the Houston, Texas area, such as energy, aerospace, automotive, medical and engineering. TLPW achieved early success in the repair/refurbished of land-based turbine components niche (locking hardware, floating seals, clamshells, etc.). BENCHMARKS OF SUCCESS: Our client Siemens recognized TL Precision with a Siemens Small Business Award for dedication to continuous cost reduction in repair of turbine vane segment inserts for savings of more than $1 million per fiscal year. Achieved ISO 9001 Certification in 2013. TLPW monitors all processes to ensure efficacy; maintains proper records; follows strict internal quality control processes; and strives to surpass requirements for continual improvement. Since 1997, continually expanded services such as laser drilling small diameter holes on transition pieces for effusion cooling. TIG welding process involving nickel base alloys like Hastelloy X and Inconel 617. Installed new acid strip line in 2011 to serve industrial gas turbine industry remove TBC coatings. Continually enhance advanced welding technologies utilizing inert gases (Argon) and plasma welds for weld repairs on alloyed metals, offering extensive financial savings to manufacturers; expanded weld repair process with a sealed sandblast room and a full NDE line of fluorescent penetrant testing.
