R.J. Washington

RJ specializes in working with K-12th grade & college students to bring them conflict resolution, educational counseling, self advocacy programs, parent outreach, college admissions assistance & financial aid workshops. His current goals are to continue developing a career path in educational counseling, as well as education administration of schools. R.J. Joined the ICEF Public Schools team as a School Counselor and school leadership team member for the 2019 - 2020 school year and is currently working in one of there middle schools in South Los Angeles. R.J. Worked with KIPPLA Schools team as Dean of Students from the 2014-2019 at KIPP Academy of Opportunity. In this position he worked with faculty to maintain & implement the rules and other regulations of the school code to promote positive student behavior in and out of the classroom. R.J. Also managed two grade levels of teachers and was a consistent instructional coach in an effort driving instruction and rigor for students. In this position R.J. Also worked as the lead testing coordinator who facilitates all standardized testing on a school wide level. He was the point of contact on all matters of student attendance, making recommendations to the principal for resolution of chronic attendance problems. RJ also took lead in coordination & implementation of extracurricular programs and student activities on his schools campus. R.J. Was with the Fulfillment Fund from 2009- 2014 as a College Access Program Advisor, he worked with hundreds of high school students annually at local charter & public high schools. R.J. Focused on creating a college going culture on the high school campuses to prepare students for success on the college level.
