Rachel Cline

I’m a sophomore at Tulane University studying Art History while on the pre-medical track. While I do love studying and critiquing art, my true passion is women's health and well-being, which is why I chose to pursue a pre-health path. As a WYSE Mentor, I am able to incorporate my passion for improving women's health through leading mentor sessions for middle school girls at Langston Hughes Academy. These sessions focus on issues such as healthy relationships, mental health, and sexual health. From my experience as a WYSE mentor, I have developed interpersonal skills , teamwork skills, and tactfulness through forming relationships with mentees and fellow mentors. I have also developed organizational ability and strategic planning skills by planning mentor sessions. I'm also a DJ for the Tulane Radio Station, WTUL New Orleans. From my time as a DJ, I have learned technical skills such as operating soundboards and microphones. I have also developed communication skills through my time speaking to listeners, whether it be on air or through answering questions or taking requests on the station phone.
