Rachel Gass

I am a current student at Bryn Mawr College pursuing a B.A. In Environmental Studies with a minor in Spanish. I am passionate about environmental sustainability and social policy. My ultimate professional goal is to work in the urban farming sector to promote food security and justice. As a first-year student, I conducted original research about food deserts and sustainable farming solutions and presented my findings to a group of eighty students and faculty. Through this self-directed experience, I became interested in promoting sustainable practices professionally. From working for Pennsylvania’s Christina Watershed Municipal Partnership Planning Team, I further realized that I want to work for an organization that directly impacts environmental health. I am skilled at written and oral communication, teamwork, research, and problem solving. I am also proficient in Spanish.
