She is the founder and director of Lisboa Soa Sound Art Festival and the International Symposium Invisible Places. She holds a PhD in Communication and Arts from FCSH-UNL with the thesis “Contributions for an Analysis of the Soundscape: Sound, Space and Acoustic Identity”. As a director, she highlights her film Soundwalkers, which circulated internationally through various festivals and sound conferences and her latest film Soa, premiered in September 2020 at the Indie Lisboa Film Festival and awarded with the "Best Film" at the section "Outros Olhares" at Caminhos do Cinema Português. She is a post-doc Researcher at Cicant/Universidade Lusófona at the project "Aural Experience, Territory and Community". Degree 2016: PhD in Communication Sciences (specialized in Communication and Arts) by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the New University of Lisbon, with the thesis “Contributions to a Soundscape Analysis: Sound, Space and Acoustic Identity” 2007: Master in Communication Sciences – specialization in Audiovisual and Multimedia, by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the New University of Lisbon, with the thesis: For an Introduction to Acoustic Ecology 1998: Degree in Management and Social Development by Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
