Served as CEO and CFO of a private-equity-backed renewable energy company for several years prior to leading its sale to another private-equity-backed sustainable energy company (EDL). Retained by new owners after the acquisition from Macquarie's MIRA portfolio and shortly after the acquisition, EDL expanded the role to include responsibility for EDL's sites across the US and Canada. Accountable for the Safety of 175+ team members and the business performance of EDL's portfolio of 29 landfill-gas-to-electricity power stations, 3 Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facilities, and actively developing $175+ million in new projects. Prior to his appointment as CEO at BroadRock Renewables LLC, Mr. Ivers served as CFO with responsibility for financial reporting, planning and analysis, accounting, tax, treasury, HR and IT matters. In that senior executive role, Mr. Ivers was instrumental in improving the financial and operational performance of the company by helping non-financial operating staff understand the financial impacts of their decisions and variances of actual results to plans. In addition, he developed and trained others to use tools to help them better forecast and budget. Earlier, Mr. Ivers consolidated, reorganized and relocated the corporate administrative and back office functions to Johnston, Rhode Island. Prior to joining Broadrock, Mr. Ivers served as Assistant Controller of U.S. Operations for Brookfield Power U.S. Hydroelectric, wind and pumped storage assets. Throughout his tenure in the power industry, he worked as Director and Controller of various portfolios of natural gas and oil-fired combined cycle electric power generating facilities with installed capacity of over 3,000 MWs. He worked with industry leaders including Exelon Corp., Constellation Energy, US Power Generating Co., kRoad Power and Sithe Energies. He has experience in helping companies capitalize on opportunities in the deregulated utilities industry with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, bankruptcies, restructuring and recapitalizations. Before entering the energy sector, Mr. Ivers spent 15 years in the mobile computing and telecommunications sector with such firms as Motorola and SITA, serving in various management and finance roles, including an international assignment in Paris, France, at the SITA Bureau of Economic Studies and Controls.
