Regina Peter

Regina Peter is an entrepreneur and innovator in educational management, leadership, and special education space. As the Executive Director and co-founder of Newmark Education, and formerly serving as a teacher, principal, and associate director in sate-approved schools, she has over 25 years of experience working alongside children with learning and behavioral disabilities. While working with students in K-8 and at High School levels, every day, her goals are to find teaching methods that allow students to learn in creative ways while holding them to the highest standard. She has specifically continued to focus her research on student perspectives of teacher effectiveness and mindfulness in schools.In addition to leading Newmark Education, Regina co-founded and sits as a board member for the NextMark Foundation, an extension of Newmark that offers a teacher training program focused on behavioral challenges directly associated with student mental health issues in the classroom. Newmark’s goal is to study and repurpose learnings from the classroom and share them with other educational professionals through the NextMark teacher training program.
