Richard Brandt

With more than a decade of experience in database research - both in hundred-plus-year-old flat file systems at County registers of deeds, and using modern computerized records - Richard is an expert in research, analysis, and underwriting of Michigan land title. He has trained entry-level and management staff on much of the proprietary software used in the land title industry, and teaches prospective real estate agents about ownership in preparation for their licensing exam with the State of Michigan. An able draftsman and writer, Richard excels in explaining complex real estate matters to laypeople and seasoned professionals, and is responsible for advising staff on unusual chains of title, insurability, legal and best practices compliance. Richard is a committee member with the Michigan Land Title Association's Legislative Committee (2012-current), and a former Habitat for Humanity financial committee member (2009-2012).
