Richard Gurney

I have always had a great interest in Human Anatomy and biomechanics, which prompted me to pursue a career in Physiotherapy. I studied at the University of Brighton, graduating in June 2012 with a 2:1 Honors degree I gained license with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and registration as a Chartered Physiotherapist. In the earlier part of my career I completed core rotations across key areas within East Sussex NHS Healthcare trust, also progressing to senior roles. Following this I moved into complex community care within West Sussex. My primary interest is Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and have also worked in a private capacity alongside my NHS role. In 2017 I transitioned into private Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy full-time, working in clinics throughout central London. After 18 months in this role I was offered a senior post within the NHS, which prompted a move into a Trans disciplinary Clinical lead position. I have gained a wide base of experience across the NHS and Private practice Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. I have a passion for Strength & Conditioning, and a background in sports instruction which i combine as a Physiotherapist. I will be a beneficial addition to your team. I am a highly ambitious professional, and I continually strive to develop and evolve as a clinician. My clinical practice is focused on the delivery of High quality, clinically reasoned and patient centered treatment, governed by gold standard frame work. I am a stoic and the eternal optimist, I see opportunity where others see adversity. I am an empathetic communicator and actively support the growth and development of others as well as myself.
