The scale of technology innovation and investment is enabling new entrants to reinvent traditional supply chains and customer channels at a pace we have not seen before, and with little or no barrier to entry to create new products and service models ... However it also affords the world’s largest companies a chance to create new orders of operating efficiency, and to exploit their existing capital and distribution advantage if they can overcome their cultural, capital and governance inertia to make informed, technology-led investments. As the Global Digital Leader, Richard has responsibility for leading the integration of digital strategy across all service lines, industries, and regions to accelerate growth and strengthen EY’s position as a leader in digital consulting. Digital permeates everything we do at EY and we solve our clients’ most complex business problems by acting as an orchestrator of digital providers. As the Global Innovation Leader, Richard is also accountable for EY’s transition to a new range of software-led Platforms and Alternative Business Models. Richard is accountable for the internal transformation of EY’s service delivery models, as well as working with the largest clients to help create new and disruptive digital businesses. Richard is a dynamic and experienced technology leader, with expertise in strategy and planning, large-scale transformation design, sales and marketing operations, as well as market development for global organizations in Japan and Asia Pacific in his leadership roles with EY, Google and Accenture. Richard is the the co-founder of a technology investment company, and advises a number of technology start-ups. He is a member of the KEA World Class NZ Network
