Ritesh Kumar Mishra

Ritesh is responsible for running the business improvement and mining optimisation program for the Zambian operations at First Quantum Minerals limited. He has a team of engineers and graduates from multiple disciplines who work on several projects ranging from implementing new technology to creating in-house business improvement products for the group. After graduating as a Mining Engineer from India in 2009, Ritesh worked for a year as a Mining Engineer for Lafarge in their Qatar operations. Ritesh subsequently did 2 masters in mining majoring in the field of project and resource management. He started working for First Quantum Minerals Limited from 2012 onwards and since then has been involved in a range of business improvement projects aimed at various parts of mining ranging from production optimisation to warehouse and inventory management. The key area of interest of the optimisation team at FQM is to gain insight into business problems using rigorous data analysis and designing mitigation measure around it.
