Robert (Bob) Taylor

Fifty years in the chemical coatings industry with a foundation in research, marketing, global business development, and P&L management. Over 25 years experience building businesses outside the US, with a primary focus on China, Southeast Asia, The EU, Scandinavia, The Middle East, Russia and South America. Ten years as a direct expatriate living in Singapore, Shanghai and London. Proven track record in business restructuring and driving profitable growth across multi-billion dollar global businesses. Received the Statesman Award for lifetime achievement and service to the coatings industry in 2003, from the National Paint & Coatings Association. Represented Akzo Nobel on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the American Coatings Association 2011-2013. Member of the University of Louisville College of Business National Visitors Committee, 1997 to present. Named an Alumni Fellow by the University of Louisville for outstanding service to the university and international community. Named an Honorary Executive in Residence by the University in 2009. Served as an Executive Partner to the Dean, at the Butler University College of Business 1997-2006. Honored with the Spring Bud award by the China Central Government at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing 2009, for supporting rural elementary education in China. Served on the Board of Directors of Lilly Industries, Inc (NYSE), Hooker Furniture Corporation (NYSE), Motorsports Aftermarket Group, Frontier Protection Worldwide and FinishMaster (OTC). Member of Audit, Nominating & Governance, Compensation, and Independent Directors Committees.
