I found my passion for coding 3 years ago and have been working as a software engineer for the last two. Over the past two years I’ve learned so much to improve my technical skills but I’ve also gained a lot of experience working with other developers and product managers to solve complex issues and deliver big feature roll outs. One of my favorite projects I got to work on a big team with was completing a full V2 intranet for a fortune 200 company, deploying to over 10,000 users. We had to use a lot of JavaScript, jquery and CSS to completely revamp the site. We saw an increase in engagement by about 10% after we rolled it out to the entire company! I previously worked in business operations and support roles and I’ve enjoyed getting to build tools for internal users to make their lives easier now. Specifically, I really enjoyed building when I built an application in React with a GraphQL APIapi that connected to the google sheets APIi and automated two time consuming administrative tasks for our support team. I’ve also built applications for external users that I’ve enjoyed. One in particular was a new game website, u. Using Firebase to power the backend. I helped build a voting application in React and Gatsby that was used to pick a new character that would be added to the game. We received over 100,000 submissions in the first 72 hours! I’ve worked hard to become a software engineer, learn new technologies and work with a team to launch applications to large groups of users. I always look forward to a challenge and love to find unique ways I can make an impact on my team but also the company as a whole.
