Developed an instrument set for endoscopic thoracoscopic spine surgery in 1998. Quit the clinical career with the upcoming of the DRG reimbursement system in Germany and embarked into hospital management. Worked as Head of the Department “Medical Controlling and Strategy Development” until 2008. Simultaneously worked as consultant for various international medical companies and the German National Association for Medical Technology. Gave over 150 lectures and seminars concerning challenges of Leadership and Management in hospitals, strategic planning and execution in hospitals, reimbursement strategies for the medical industry. Holds a Master of Science in Health Care Management. Worked as a Medical Director in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Is a founding member and President of the Society for Values and Ethics in Leadership. Is Professor at the IBA, University of Cooperative Education as Head of Healthcare Management Section.
