Robin Mallalieu

Since leaving university in 1983, when he was awarded the national RIBA Student Prize, Robin Mallalieu has gained wide experience working from London on projects around the UK and Ireland. Prior to commencing practice with Angela Brady in 1987 he worked in London with van Heyningen Haward Architects and Brian Taggart Associates.Robin has worked on a variety award winning projects and has developed a particular interest in housing and works with historic buildings. He has developed an expertise in the design of new contemporary buildings within historical and protected environments. He also maintains an interest and expertise in urban design and master planning.Robin is skilled in creating environmentally friendly and sustainable designs and promotes low energy / low maintenance buildings.His contemporary house design in Richmond was featured on BBC1 London Tonight where it was praised as ‘one of the best contemporary houses in Britain today’. It was runner up for the Manser Prize: Best New House in Britain 2004.
