I am experienced in Business Operations of a C-Store and Gas Station. This is a recent achievement that I found myself a little reluctant to pursue. Now that I have better knowledge about the Gas Station I was surprised to find it is more then selling gas, cashiering, and or a job. What occurred to me is the gas station is a gateway to the community. This is the first place travelers stop. The Gas station represents the community they are in. What better way to advertise a business then to have your business showcased at a Gas station. We are asked daily for directions to beaches, local eateries, local attractions, and asked ,when someone is moving, the crime rate in that location. I recommend places of interest, but will be going to the City Hall and Tourist information to acquire maps, menus, and the like to help promote local business in this community. Working at a BP Gas station has been trying due to the spill. I am a representing a business that I purchase gas from. The Gas station itself is owned by an individual family and that's who I work for. The misconception that when someone purchases gas they are supporting a large Company , but in reality it is the family and their employees they will help support,and the community.
