I am currently working for Lark (Group) Limited as a trainee account handler in the New Business Department. When I joined Lark it was as a technical support staff member. My role here was to provide support for the account handlers in New Business Dept. I did this by helping put quotes together and by generally helping to organize the case books for potential clients to help make the account handlers job a lot easier. After doing this role for around eleven months I was promoted to a trainee account handler. This is a role i thoroughly enjoy and believe I excel in. My day to day here involves chasing any potential clients and putting together the best quotes for clientele, as well as liaising with Underwriters and chasing them for the best quote for my clients. Even though I am a trainee handler, my supervisors have decided to make me the sole point of contact to our Sub-broker/Wholesale new business. As well as handling our sub broker business my duties are to deal with high net worth clients and non-standard inquiries on a day to day basis. I have also been asked to create and present a business plan for ideas to help improve and develop the account.
