Rodrigo Silva

I currently work as a Senior Scientist at Artiva Biotherapeutics, previously worked as Principal Scientist at NKGEN, as a Scientist at aTyr Pharma and as Postdoctoral Researcher Associate at The Scripps Research Institute. I´ve conducted my PhD research project at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children's Hospital, Department of Pediatrics/Immunobiology, as a Ph.D. Exchange student and I've returned to Brazil and defended my thesis in February of 2018. Since my Master degree, I have worked with ovarian cancer patients to study their immune system, more specifically, NK cell biology and I've also collaborated with a study on NK cells KIR repertoire in patients with hematological malignancies after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. At Baylor College of Medicine, I was studying the immune response of a mouse model that develops lung adenocarcinoma. I have extensive knowledge in molecular and cellular immunology, cancer immunology, in vitro cell-based assays, histology, multi-color flow cytometry and cell sorting. I also have experience with genetic screens and next-generation sequencing.
