Ronnie Mitchell

Hi there! My name is Ronnie Mitchell, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Psychotherapist with 30 years of experience and an extensive work history on a psychiatric unit at an outstanding medical hospital. I’ve applied my expertise from my years of experience at the hospital to my private practice, meeting each of my clients’ unique emotional needs with empathy and support as we work to win the battle and fight the fight. There is nothing I haven’t seen before. I begin by explaining to all my clients that happiness is an inside job and you can’t depend upon anyone else to make you happy. I then provide them with the tools to get off the emotional rollercoaster ride. I remind them that the one person in this world they need to please is themselves. I then become their guide in the final frontier of their mind to find out who they are. My treatment practice is eclectic in that I utilize the interpersonal process approach, combining interpersonal, object relations, and family systems theories. It’s a collaborative effort into the looking glass. We connect the past with the present to change the future, improving insight, self esteem, and coping skills. Life is more fulfilling. The grass is greener and the sky is bluer when there’s hope on the horizon. Therapy is all about change, requiring strength and courage which my clients have. I just help them to light the light.
