Since 1982 I have had a parallel career in academics. Since I continued being a musician, I became a musical teacher. I taught using music, and also taught teachers to use music in their teaching. I sing and compose in Navajo, Quichua, and other languages. I am attempting to explain my (musical) life through various volumes of autobiography.
