Roy Matthewson

After more than 7 years experience as an elementary school teacher working in low-income, high-needs elementary schools I am ready for my next challenge. My time in the classroom honed my adaptable and easy going mindset while using my studious, intellectual nature to continually improve my practice as a manager of personalities and presenter of content. I often see connections in disparate content and find ways to share these insights with listeners in creative and engaging ways. I have been generous with my time and energy so that I can help teammates be successful and feel energized when exploring who we are, how we got where we are, and how to build on these realities to move into the future. I love fast-paced environments that are free of monotony and too much routine and hope to join a group or organization that will allow me to flourish using this energy. I bring a proven history of applying hardware and software solutions in the classroom with me to whatever I do. I am proficient with most Office365 programs, educational learning management systems and online testing programs. I am also fluent in the use of numerous online curricula resources. I am adept in using ViewSonic view boards and other smart boards, am a skilled public speaker capable of translating difficult concepts into user friendly language for application in the classroom and daily life, and a consummate team player who strives to ensure all colleagues succeed.
